SPEAK UP FOR A CHILD WHO HAS EXPERIENCED ABUSE AND NEGLECT.
BECOME A CASA VOLUNTEER.

Imagine the upheaval for a child who has been removed from their home, their family, their siblings, and everything they know and care about. Suddenly, they are thrust into a world filled with strangers. Foster parents, social workers, attorneys, and judges are now making life-altering decisions on the child’s behalf. Will you speak up for what is in the best interest of this child?

OUR MODEL AND HOW IT WORKS

CASA volunteers are appointed to cases by judges to advocate for a child’s best interest. They stay with the case until it is closed and the child is in a safe and permanent home.

CASA volunteers serve children from birth through 18-21.

CASA volunteers work with legal and child welfare professionals, educators, and service providers to ensure that judges have all the information they need to make the most well-informed decisions for each child.

CASA Infographic Model

Our best-interest advocacy is driven by the guiding principle that children grow and develop best within their family of origin if that can be safely achieved. Most of the children we advocate for are placed in foster care, and some are placed with relatives. Most children are returned to their families of origin.
