Fostering Futures

What is Fostering Futures?

Fostering Futures focuses on improving outcomes for older youth who are preparing to leave the foster care system. CASA has seen several kids age out of the system with little to no life skills that set them up for success as adults. The Fostering Futures initiative is a National CASA accredited training that gives CASA volunteers the tools to help guide youth age 14+ in gaining the necessary life skills to be successful in life. Donations made to this fund will be allocated to independent living resources for our older youth (age 14-21).

Why are we doing this?

CASA has seen several kids age out of the system with little to no life skills that set them up for success as adults. The Fostering Futures program is a National CASA accredited training that gives CASAs the tools to help guide youth age 14+ in gaining the necessary life skills to be successful in life. This year Chelan-Douglas CASA is launching a pilot of the program to see if it helps to improve the outcomes for our youth aging out of the foster care system.
